9th May, the day is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of a great Indian poet, also known as Gurudev and the Bard of Bengal, Rabindranath Tagore. His contribution in reshaping Bengali literature and music as well as Indian art with Contextual Modernism is undeniable. Students of Bright Land School, Amritsar staged and presented one of his best creations i.e Jana-gana- mana. Through this they remembered how imperative this song is for all the Indians. The Principal Harsh Thukral briefed the students about this veteran personality’s contribution in the field of Education and also told that the song Jana-gana-mana, was originally composed in Bangla by Rabindranath Tagore, was adopted in its Hindi version by the Constituent Assembly as the National Anthem of India on January 24, 1950.
